3 | Associate member | Associate member shall be a person enrolled by the council on application who has not yet attained the full qualification for the class of member and shall be an individual who is a scientist, an engineer, a teacher, an executive or a writer in technical or industrial field involving Non-Destructive Testing who is at least 20 years of age and is engaged in the study or practice of Non-Destructive Testing. Associate member shall be entitled to voting and other rights and privileges of the Society except to the right to hold elective post, |

Corporate Member who shall have the right to nominate two of his employees as representatives to enjoy rights and privileges of the society as hereinafter prescribed except the right to hold elective post. |
Membership by Invitation | ||
1 | Patron | The society may have patrons to further its cause. A patron shall be an individual with a record of meritorious service to any public cause or a person known to have made substantial contributions for the growth of industry and engineering and shall be enrolled only by the invitation of the council with his previous consent. A patron may be appointed by virtue of the office he holds but in such cases, he shall cease to be patron when he relinquishes his office. Patrons of the Society shall have the rights and privileges as prescribed for other memberships, except the voting right and in addition, shall be exempted from payment of dues. |
2 | Honorary Fellow | Honorary Fellow shall be a person of outstanding professional distinction in the field of NDT and shall be enrolled by invitation of the council. He shall be entitled to the rights and privileges of the Society except voting rights and shall be exempted from payment of dues. Such enrollment shall not ordinarily exceed two per year. |
